A five-star+ senior community that has it all. The staff is amazing, caring, attentive, helpful, informative and genuinely engaged with the residents and families. The grounds are clean and well-maintained and the property feels like a resort, with well-curated artwork and relaxing and calm accommodations with plenty of daily activities offered. In addition to the spacious rooms, there is a well-appointed library, book nooks, game rooms, theatre, outdoor grounds, dining room, reading materials, and so much more. Joey, Lela and the entire staff are welcoming and make everyone feel right at home. Highly recommend this gem!

When it comes to assisted living and memory care options, Villa Lorena is in an exceptional league of its own. We have researched, visited, and worked with many assisted living homes in different states due to the support our elderly family members needed. We can attest that the quality of life and customer experience at Villa Lorena is remarkable and incomparable to what we have seen in other places.

The environment at Villa Lorena is so welcoming that our entire family enjoys visiting our family member. We love listening to their live music, participating in the games, meeting other kind families, sitting on the patio, and joining in the meals and celebrations. Every staff member, regardless of their level, is professional, respectful, and caring, treating residents with dignity.

Our father genuinely enjoys the food. His room and clothes are always kept clean, and his living space is spacious, safe, and gets great natural lighting.

We have been repeatedly impressed by the many ways in which management pays attention to details and goes the extra mile to create a truly enjoyable and happy customer experience for residents and their families. Thank you for everything you do, Villa Lorena!

My mother has lived here for over two years and we call it the 'four seasons.' The living arrangements are spacious and cheery, the interior decor and furnishings are well-appointed and the staff is top notch. Joey is the head of Villa Lorena and is a gem. The staff is all about service and care from the food, activities, cleanliness, health concerns, responsiveness and friendliness. Their conscientiousness has shown through the pandemic with no cases reported. It is a hard decision when having to choose the right place to have your relative move into when the time is right and I recommend Villa Lorena.

Apart from the pleasing, comfortable, and sophisticated ambiance, the staff provides exceptional care, and we are happy with their offerings. Though not in contrast to the needs of people in memory care, the entire crew is thoughtful and enjoys what they do. Above all, my aunt is pleased and has adjusted to her new surroundings. The facility is beautifully designed and immaculately maintained. The entire staff, from culinary to housekeeping to the medical technicians and caregivers, are compassionate, consummate professionals in every regard. My wife was a resident in the Memory Care unit for almost 3 years and throughout her journey she was treated 24 hours a day with a degree of social engagement, kindness, compassion, respect and medical care that I could only have dreamed of. I would give Villa Lorena 6 stars if I could.

We moved my mom to Villa Lorena a week ago and are so glad we did. Joey, Anne Marie, and the rest of the staff did everything they could to make her transition as smooth as possible. From the moment she arrived she felt welcomed and a part of the Villa Lorena family! Beth and her medical team are wonderful and ensure that her medical needs are being addressed as needed. They have numerous daily activities and live entertainment to keep the residents engaged and active. The food is delicious (daily specials amazing) and meals are served with a smile. Mom is enjoying her days now and that is what she deserves at 83 years old! We cannot thank everyone at Villa Lorena enough for the care and love they genuinely provide. It is by far the best assisted living facility around and we are grateful to be part of the family!

They treat everyone like family, with compassion, and provide a truly enriching environment. Joey and Beth are true advocates for their residents and incredible leaders. I work in the Senior industry and visit a lot of senior communities. I normally do not support one community over the other because every community offers their own special atmosphere. But during this visit I was pleasantly surprised when I went to Villa Lorena with not only the appearance of the clean and elegant community but the greeting from staff was above and beyond. Every hallway I walked down I was greeted with a “hello how are you?” from staff. The community residents were enjoying activities in the lobby and were very interactive. It just had a wonderful spirit in the community. I met the new ED Joey Collado. He was very attentive with the residents making sure they knew he was available if they needed anything from him. Joey has created a beautiful “aloha” feeling in this community. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to retire and need assistance with your lifestyle changes I highly recommend this community. The food is delicious too!! The Activity Director Leyla is a jewel. I have spotted her taking walks with residents who need a little extra help. In the lobby doing exercises is Al, he shops for residents and helps with transportation to Dr appts. Micaela knows everything about the community and can give you a grand tour. When you arrive your first greeting is by the receptionist. She is so helpful too! Yep, it’s a perfect choice for your love ones.

My mom has been living at Villa Lorena since Aug. 2022. Besides being a beautiful, home-like, upscale environment, the care is very good. They have very low turnover (unheard of in this business) the staff is patient (not easy with memory care patients) loving and take pride in their work. Most importantly, my mom is happy and has settled in to her new home. The owners, are also very compassionate and are doing this for the right reasons.

Villa Lorena is one of, if not the nicest, assisted living communities in San Diego. I’ve come to know Joey, the Executive Director, and Beth, Resident Services Director, really well recently and they truly know how to care for their residents. During the last year+ Villa Lorena has been able to maintain such a clean environment that they have not had a single COVID outbreak. I hope to one day retire in a community like this myself. 10/10 would recommend this building to family and friends.

Villa Lorena Community is amazingly Beautiful! Leadership Team are wonderful, involved and assure the best care provided when the need is there. Joey, Executive Director sense of humor adds so much value to Staff and Residents! Beth, RN oversees Resident and family needs and of course is an amazing person. It is very rare a RN is in this role, she brings so much value to the Community. I personally have known Beth for almost 20 years and we worked side by side. Her heart, knowledge and teaching is #1. Social life for the Residents lead by Leyla, incredibly fun, busy and so much heart. Now more then ever our loved ones need the extra and wow do they receive! If you have a chance to meet Leyla you will see she is always smiling and full of energy! I encourage everyone to visit the Beautiful Villa Lorena and meet Anne-Marie, Director of Sales. Villa Lorena and the staff at Villa Lorena have had such a positive impact on my life, and my mom’s life, that it is hard to put it in words without getting emotional about it. The facility both inside and out is kept immaculately clean and well maintained. The food is top notch, since it is made to order and not catered. The daily activities for residents are great as well, and include everything from weekly live happy hour music, to gardening, Hawaiian luau’s, ballet, and much more. The cherry on top of all this though, are the warm greetings and happy faces of the compassionate and caring staff I get to see whenever I go visit with my mom. You can tell that the staff truly seem to love what they do for a living, and these good folks have shown my mom and I nothing but kindness and care with a loving touch over the last couple of years that my mom has been a resident at Villa Lorena!
